For decades, the pro audio industry has capitalized on the confusion and lack of factual knowledge by consumers about xlr cables, resulting in companies producing extremely overpriced cables that are nowhere near the highest possible spec. This is now a thing of the past!
The reason and purpose behind our cables was to make, objectively, the very best studio cables possible, using the highest spec components available. Trust us, there is absolutely no better cable on the market and no reason to pay more.
ˆImportant note regarding black Neutrik XLR connectors: In 2025, Neutrik changed the outer coating on black XLR connector shells from conductive black chrome to a non-conductive KTM coating. In our testing we’ve not found any significant noise/grounding issues with the new shells. If, however, your application requires conductive shells, we are happy to fit your cables with silver XLR shells. Just send us an email with your order number immediately after placing your order.

FAQ:
Q: Can I use these cables on stage?
A: Absolutely! Since these cables are extremely high quality, both in sound and durability, they will be excellent for stage use. However, our studio cables are slightly stiffer than our stage cables. A more limp, rubber type of outer jacket is preferred for handheld microphone use on stage and to ensure cables lay flat and are less likely to cause trip hazards, which is what we offer in our stage cables. Our stage cables have an ever so slightly higher capacitance, which means there would be very minimal high frequency loss over very long runs. This is still extremely minimal and a non-issue for stage use.
Q: What’s the difference between your cables and Mogami Gold branded cables?
A: Mogami Gold cables use the exact same Neutrik XX Gold connectors that we use. The difference is that Mogami Gold cables are made with quad cable. Quad cable is superior in rejecting RFI (radio frequency interference). However, it is very uncommon for wireless systems to be used in recording studios, and in our 30+ years of experience, we’ve never had any RFI issues with 2549 cables, in studios or on stage. 2549 uses a spiral shielding that’s proven to be more than adequate. But much more importantly, quad cable is extremely high capacitance. This means that there will be a noticeable high frequency loss over longer runs. It’s simply unnecessary and actually ill-advised to use quad cables in a recording environment.
